About AICWiC

The ACM India Celebration of Women in Computing (AICWiC), often referred to simply as the “Celebration,” is an annual conference and community-building event dedicated to promoting gender diversity and equity in the field of computing and providing valuable resources and support for women in this profession.

AICWiC features a diverse array of activities designed to showcase innovations, share ideas, and foster connections among women in computing. The event connects students, researchers, and industry professionals, offering a unique space to share experiences, discuss challenges, and build lasting professional relationships. The program typically includes workshops, technical sessions, and panel discussions that cover essential topics such as career growth, leadership, technical advancements, and strategies for enhancing diversity and inclusion in the tech sector. Keynote speakers and industry role models share their journeys, providing inspiration and practical insights to encourage participants in their pursuit of computing careers.

AICWiC is open to women at all stages of their career paths—from students to established professionals—ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. This celebration fosters a strong sense of community, making participants feel valued, connected, and empowered to excel in their chosen fields. By providing a platform for women to connect, learn, and grow, the ACM-W India Annual Celebrations contribute to a more inclusive and equitable future for women in computing.
