Currently working as Professor & Head of Department at Manipal university Jaipur, India, Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Sharma, Ph.D. from JK-SPS University, Udaipur in Computer Science and Engineering, Post graduation (M.E.) in CSE from Devi Ahilya (DAVV) University (Indore), has done graduation (B.E.) in engineering discipline with CSE from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University. He has won the best research proposal award by ACM and CSI (Computer Society of India) Udaipur chapter. His area of interests include Big data analytics, deep learning, classification and clustering methods, Data mining and machine learning, cognitive intelligence etc. He has many technical research papers in international and national journals conferences. He has completed a few sponsored projects in the area of R&D, Thrust and Modernization. He has guided a number of scholars for B. Tech, M. tech and PhD degree in engineering discipline. He has visited several places for presenting research papers, chairing sessions and delivering lectures like IITs, NITs, Vietnam, and China etc. He is a, Senior Member IEEE and Senior Member ACM, and Member IEI, Member Computer Society of India (CSI), Senior Member of Indo-U.S. Collaboration.
He recently travelled to Thailand (KMUTNB-Bangkok and Mahasarakham University) on academic visit under the select endowment fund from university for two weeks. He also invited as keynote speaker in Vietnam in ICCASA 2018 at viet tri city of Hanoi-Vietnam. He has initiated MOU with Warsaw University of Poland, King Mongkuts University of Thailand North Bangkok (KMUTNB) with MUJ (Manipal University Jaipur) and collaboration of research and many activity has been started already. Invited as ACM Student chapter representative in Chitkara University, COMPUTE-2018 in Sept-18. Acted as Convener of ACM All India Summit in Manipal University Jaipur-2019 and for ACM National Women’s Hackathon 2021, where eminent speakers and researchers took part from various parts of the country. Organizing member ICCT2019 at Manipal University Jaipur India. He has worked as an editorial board member of various journals and conferences and reviewed various research articles of national and International importance. He is currently running ACM chapter in Manipal University Jaipur India which has bagged the best chapter award and 500 USD award from ACM international NY HQ. He has got 6 patents to his credit and 5 copyrights. Currently working as Secretory ACM Jaipur Professional chapter. He recently Organized ACM COMPUTE-2022 conference at MUJ.

Professor of Computer Science, and Joint Faculty Yardi School of AI at IIT Delhi. Works on Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and AI with applications in medical imaging, mobility, and reliability of AI systems

In my lab we work on the following research topics:
Trusworthy AI: We work on making modern computer vision systems using machine learning techniques trustworthy. Specific topics of interest include Adversarial attack and defence techniques, Reliability, and Fairness.
Cancer Detection: Computer aided detection models for detecting cancer, and trained on western population are not successful for Indian population. We develop models specifically for Indian population. Our current focus is on automated detection of Breast, and Gall Bladder cancer.
Mobility: We work on developing computer vision techniques for driving assistance and autonomous driving systems in the Indian context. The topics of interest include Active Learning, Domain Adaptation, and Domain Generalization.
Egocentric Vision: We also work on computer vision applications arising out of body worn egocentric cameras. We are specifically interested in developing techniques to understand the wearer attributes, and his/her social life from daylong egocentric videos.

Problems with Social Impact: We also work on solving problems with social impact. The current interests include developing camera based wearable device as mobility assistant for visually impaired, and recovering text from document images in real life scenarios for e-governance.

Dr Dheeraj Sanghi is currently the Vice Chancellor at JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur. Dr. Sanghi has been a Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at IIT-Kanpur. During his association of more than 28 years with IIT K he has held various leadership positions such as Dean of Academic Affairs; Chairman Senate Under Graduation Committee; Coordinator Industry Affiliate Programs; Head of Prabhu Goel Research Centre for Computer & Internet Security to name a few. He has also maintained various leadership positions such as Director, LNMIIT, Jaipur; Dean of Academic Affairs & Dean of External Relations at IIIT Delhi and most recently as Director of Punjab Engineering College, one of India’s oldest engineering institutions.

He has worked closely with various Indian & International industries in full-time and consultant positions. He is acknowledged as a thought leader in academia and known for his student-centric approach to implementing best practices in academic systems. Prof. Sanghi is an avid blogger, author, social media enthusiast, and motivator. He frequently publishes his blogs in the area of academia, research, and educational policies primarily.

Lipika Dey is a Chief Scientist at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). She is currently heading research in the theme of Economic and Financial Intelligence. Her areas of interest are Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence applications, Machine learning, and analytics of multi-structured data. She has been awarded the Fellowship of Indian National Academy of Engineering in 2021. She was also awarded the Distinguished Scientist award by TCS in 2012.

Lipika has over 15 years of experience in Industrial R&D. Prior to joining TCS, she was a member of the faculty in the Department of Mathematics at IIT Delhi. Lipika has a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, where she had also done her graduation and post-graduation in Mathematics and Computer Science. She has been actively involved with ACM(W) organization since its inception. Lipika is an active champion of all causes related to Women in STEM.

Prashant is an innovator at heart and an entrepreneur by profession. With a passion for innovation, product incubation and digital transformation, he bootstrapped Inteliment in 2004 and Rubiscape in 2020. Prashant’s strengths are in identifying and investing in next-generation technologies and fostering innovation culture.

Recognized as ‘CEO of a Fast-Growing Company’ by Deloitte, Prashant has been part of NITI Aayog’s various initiatives and think-tank. He is a part of Maharashtra’s Chief Minister’s Digital Transformation Council and is on NASSCOM’s National Product Council, a Mentor for Atal Mission 2020 Program. A former Chairman of the Indo-American Chambers, he was also invited on the Global Partner Analytics Advisory Council by SAP Labs, USA.

D. Litt, Honorary (Honoris Causa) in Data Science & AI, from George Washington University, USA a triple MBA and a Mechanical Engineer by qualification, Prashant is also pursuing Ph.D. in Innovation Incubation and Management.

R Venkateswaran (Venki) is an industry thought leader with more than 30 years of IT Industry experience. He was associated with Persistent Systems for 20+ years and had undertaken various roles during his stint there. Prior to Persistent, he worked for 7 years as a researcher at Bell Laboratories and also in the CTO office at Lucent Technologies. He is actively associated with several academic institutes and works towards fostering the Industry-Academia interactions.

He earned his B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay and has a PhD in Computer Science from Washington State University. He holds multiple patents and has authored numerous research papers. He is a member of the ACM India Council and chairs the Computing for Society initiative. He is active in ACM Education initiatives and delivers technical sessions to students across India as part of the ACM India Eminent Speaker Program.

Currently Technical Director, Persius Ou, Tallinn, Estonia advising them on AI based innovations and implementations for the online Creative Skills Platform. I have completed my tenure recently as the Dean of Engg and Director School of Computing & IT at Manipal University Jaipur having led innovations in teaching, learning and industry orientation of faculty and students for 7 years.

My research work earlier has spanned over 35 years in applied and industrial R&D having worked on projects related to Technology Development, Product Development, Plant/Process development in domains such as Control and Instrumentation, Information Technology, Industrial Networking, Natural Gas Flow Measurements, Smart Energy etc. During this period, I discharged various roles e.g. Aeronautical Engineer in Avionics Design Bureau at Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), Scientist at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) lab Central Electronics Engg Research Institute (CEERI, Pilani) and Technical Consultant at Secure Meters Ltd before joining Manipal University Jaipur as Professor of Computing.

I am having 9 years of experience in the domain of electronics (semiconductor), currently working as Assistant Dean, OPFLC & Associate Professor (ECE) at Chitkara University H.P. My primary focus area is analog (&RF) and mixed signal circuits and systems design. Other key responsibilities of my current role include running IPR cell, handling competitive students’ projects, industry relations, organizing conferences & workshops, driving university newsletter (editor) and a journal (production editor)

I had worked as Manager for Technical Marketing in RS Components (the world leading electronic distributor company) and was responsible for developing strategies and plans to develop electronic business for the company in India, also I was responsible for building and driving university program for the company. I conducted technical seminars, sessions, hands-on training and expert talks on latest electronic technologies and electronic design tools along with writing technical articles in leading electronics magazines.
For four years I worked as Project lead, University Marketing for Texas Instruments, where I was responsible for taking TI technologies to engineering institutions across India.

Sudip Misra is a Professor and INAE Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada. His current research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks and Internet of Things. Professor Misra has published over 460 scholarly research papers and 12 books.

He has won nine research paper awards in different conferences and four best paper awards in IEEE journals. He was awarded the IEEE ComSoc Asia Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award at IEEE GLOBECOM 2012, California, USA. He was also the recipient of several academic awards and fellowships such as the Faculty Excellence Award (IIT Kharagpur), Young Scientist Award (National Academy of Sciences, India), Young Systems Scientist Award (Systems Society of India), Young Engineers Award (Institution of Engineers, India), (Canadian) Governor General’s Academic Gold Medal at Carleton University, the University Outstanding Graduate Student Award in the Doctoral level at Carleton University and the National Academy of Sciences, India – Swarna Jayanti Puraskar (Golden Jubilee Award), Samsung Innovation Awards-2014 at IIT Kharagpur, IETE-Biman Behari Sen Memorial Award-2014, and the Careers360 Outstanding Faculty Award in Computer Science for the year 2018 from the Honourable Minister for Human Resource Development (MHRD) of India.

Thrice consecutively he was the recipient of the IEEE Systems Journal Best Paper Award in 2018, 2019, and 2020. He was awarded the Canadian Government’s prestigious NSERC Post Doctoral Fellowship and the Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship in Germany. His team received the GYTI Award 2018 in the hands of the President of India for socially relevant innovations. Professor Misra is the distinguished lecturer of the IEEE Communications Society. He has been serving the Executive Committee of IEEE Kharagpur Section since 2008 in different capacities. He was the Chair of the IEEE Kharagpur Section. Dr. Misra is the ACM Distinguished Member. He is also the Director and Co-Founder of the IoT startup, SensorDrops Networks Private Limited.

Profile: Tanuja is Principal Research Engineering Manager at Microsoft Research, India. Her current work is focused on designing equitable, inclusive and accessible Generative AI systems focuses that will have large scale impact on society. Tanuja has been recognized as MIT Technology Review’s Innovator Under 35 (MIT TR 35) in 2014 and IEEE Bangalore Woman Technologist of the Year in 2018. She holds a Masters in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

Vivek Shripad Borkar was born and educated in Mumbai, graduating in electrical engineering from IIT Bombay in 1976. He did an M.S. from Case Western Reserve Uni., USA, in 1977 and Ph.D. from Uni. of California at Berkeley in 1980. After spending a year visiting Technical Uni. of Twente in Holland, he returned to India to join TIFR Centre in Applicable Mathematics in Bengaluru. He has since held positions in Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru and TIFR and IIT Bombay in Mumbai. He is currently emeritus at IIT Bombay. His major honours include the S. S. Bhatnagar Award and Homi Bhabha, J. C. Bose and S. S. Bhatnagar Fellowships. He is also a Fellow of INSA, IASc, NASI, INAE and IETE in India and of IEEE, AMS and TWAS, and was an invited speaker at International Congress of Mathematics, Madrid, in 2006. . He works on the interface of probability theory on one hand and optimization and control on the other, covering theory, algorithms and applications.

Yogesh Simmhan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computational and Data Sciences and a Swarna Jayanti Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. His research explores scalable software platforms, algorithms and applications on distributed systems. These span Cloud and Edge Computing, Temporal Graph Processing, and Distributed storage and machine learning to support emerging Big Data and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, and won the Best Paper Award at IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing (CLOUD) 2019, IEEE TCSC SCALE Challenge Award in 2019 and 2012, the Distinguished Paper award at EuroPar 2018, and the IEEE/ACM Supercomputing HPC Storage Challenge Award in 2008. He is the recipient of the IEEE TCSC Award for Excellence in Scalable Computing (Mid Career Researcher) in 2020. He is an Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Systems (JPDC), an Associate Editor of Future Generation Computing System (FGCS), and earlier served as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing and a member of the IEEE Future Directions Initiative on Big Data.

Yogesh has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University, Bloomington, and was previously a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, and a Postdoc at Microsoft Research, San Francisco. He is a Distinguished Member of ACM, a Distinguished Contributor of the IEEE Computer Society and serves on the ACM India Executive Council.
