ACM-W India is hosting its flagship event, offering a powerful platform for female coders to showcase their exceptional coding talents from across the nation. More than just a competition, it’s an inspiring and empowering journey that promotes learning, personal growth, and collaboration, while fostering meaningful connections within the tech community.
AICWiC-2024 (ACM India Celebrations for Women in Computing): 30 November, 2024
It is a premier event organized by ACM-W India to empower and support women in the field of computing. It’s part of ACM-W’s global initiative to celebrate and promote women’s involvement in tech through competition, learning, and networking opportunities.
This coding contest is held in given stages:
- Registration Deadline: September 22, 2024.
- Round 1 Online : Saturday, Oct 5th, 2024.
- Second Interview: : Saturday. Oct 26th, 2024.
- Round 3 Offline : Friday, Nov 29th, 2024.
Top 10 finalists of the second round are invited to participate in the final round of the competition.
Eligibility criteria: Open to female students enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s programs in Computer Science or related fields from across India.
Travel and Accommodation Support: Finalists will receive ₹6000/- travel allowance and free accommodation.

Chitkara University
Located in Rajpura, Punjab, India which was founded in 2002 and initially affiliated with Punjab Technical University. The university is recognized by several regulatory bodies, including the University Grants Commission(UGC), National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC), and various professional councils such as the Council of Architecture(COA) and Pharmacy Council of India(PCI). The university focuses on the overall development of students through various extracurricular activities, clubs, and Societies, including Chitkara ACM Student Chapter for all the students.

Centre for Research Impact and Outcome (CRiO)
Centre for Research Impact and Outcome (CRiO) cultivating and fostering interdisciplinary high-impact research in partnerships with external organizations, industry partners, government agencies, and community groups to amplify the impact and outcome of research. Implementing strategies to enhance the visibility and dissemination of the university's research outputs through various channels such as publications, conferences, research projects, IPR, and research labs.

Chitkara ACM Student Chapter
Chartered on 28th February in 2010 and the chapter commenced on March 8 in the same year. The chapter was established with a primary goal of fostering curiosity among the students regarding emerging technologies in computer science, beyond the regular curriculum.
The chapter actively works to enhance the practical skills of its members through a variety of initiatives, including:
- Expert Talks: Inviting industry professionals to share insights and experiences.
- Hands-On Courses: Providing industry-oriented training sessions.
- Workshops: Covering various technical topics to build competencies.
- Industrial Visits: Offering exposure to real-world applications and environments.
- Competitions: Organising quizzes, debugging, and coding contests to encourage participation and skill development.
Under the Leadership and guidance of Dr. Saravjeet Singh and Dr. Shveta Bansal, the Chitkara ACM Student Chapter continues to thrive as a hub for innovation and collaboration, making it one of the best student chapters at Chitkara University.
