If you are visiting India to attend a conference, you need to obtain a Conference visa instead of a Tourist visa. (A Conference visa also allows tourism!) To help you get a Conference visa, we (the conference organizers of COMPUTE 2023) are required to collect some information from you and share it with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) as well as the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India. Based on this information, the Ministries issue Clearance Certificates, which you will need to apply for the Conference Visa. Since this process takes a few weeks, we would like to collect the required information in advance (i.e., before the paper review process is complete).
