Goa SCERT 2nd Regional Computational Thinking in Schools (CTiS) Conference
The Goa State Council of Educational Research and Training (GSCERT), in collaboration with ACM India and the CSpathshala community, successfully hosted the 2nd Regional Computational Thinking in Schools (CTiS) Conference on June 13, 2025. The event brought together 70 educators, researchers, and stakeholders to explore innovations in computational thinking education.
The program featured 15 presentations and a dynamic panel discussion on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, which addressed ethics, classroom tools, and its growing role in assessment. Prof. Janarthanam Malapathi highlighted the importance of embracing AI responsibly, noting that “AI has its pros and cons but should be used to its full potential.” Key attendees included Ms. Meghana Shetgaonkar, Ms. Sonia Garcha, Dr. V. V. Kamat, Ms. Vandana Naik, Dr. Manoj Ibrampurkar, and Mr. Vidyut Navelkar. The abstract selection jury shortlisted presenters for the upcoming CTiS 2025 Conference at IISER Pune (July 24–26, 2025).
